• Call-Out Policy: 3 call outs result in termination
• Shift Change Notice:

  • Less than 48 hours notice refusal may forfeit guaranteed hours
  • 1 week or more notice refusal may result in termination
• Holiday Work Requirement:

  • If 1-2 holidays fall within assignment: work 1 evening and 1 holiday shift
  • If 3 holidays fall within assignment: work 1 evening and 2 holiday shifts

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MedSurg/Telemetry (MS/Tele) Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Rapid Response experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratio
• Total joints care experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• Background check within 6 months including social security trace, nationwide and county checks, sex offender registry, education verification
• Fingerprinting: Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start
• Education verification (ASN, BSN, or MSN) required; transcript/diploma acceptable as placeholder
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation required; religious or medical exemption forms accepted
• Flu vaccine or declination documentation recommended but not required for contract workers
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and safety manual acknowledgment prior to start
• References: Two professional references within two years
• Performance evaluation within the last year if applicable
• Skills checklist required

• Acute Care Hospital setting
• 210 staffed beds
• Charting system: Meditech
• Free parking in unrestricted spaces

This position requires a highly skilled Registered Nurse with experience in high acuity mixed units, rapid response, and total joint care. Candidates must be prepared for a structured orientation week and adhere to strict attendance and compliance policies.
