Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (PICC)

Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) experience to work in an Interventional Radiology (IR) setting. The role involves PICC and midline insertions, port access, and IV access throughout the hospital.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform PICC insertions using ultrasound and Sherlock technology
  • Insert midlines with ultrasound guidance
  • Access ports in MRI and CT environments
  • Provide IV access hospital-wide
  • Average 4-5 PICC/midline insertions per day, plus several IVs and port accesses
  • Use EPIC electronic medical records system
  • Operate SiteRite Ultrasound equipment
  • No floating to other departments; focus solely on IR PICC
  • Work day shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM), possible staggered shifts
  • No weekend, holiday, or night call requirements; occasional late stay to finish work

Required Qualifications

  • Valid West Virginia Nursing License (RN)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Bard PICC Certification
  • Experience with IV insertion and PICC line placement

Additional Information

  • Department has 1 scanner/room
  • No use of Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)
  • Radiologist available in-house
  • Scrubs provided (blue color)
  • Orientation includes hospital policies and mandatory education

This position is ideal for an experienced PICC RN looking for a focused IR role with consistent day shifts and no on-call or weekend requirements.
