Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
• Prior travel experience not required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Nurse license valid in New Mexico
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• CHEMO certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Education verification (highest level) required
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start (no declinations except approved medical exemptions)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Photo for badge required
• Complete application/resume and unit-specific skills checklist annually
• 7-year work history verification required

Additional Notes

• Must complete 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
• Floating to other units may be required within scope of practice
• Orientation and EPIC training available pending fingerprint clearance
• Behavioral Health nurses require specific competency-based training prior to start

This position is suitable for Medical Surgical Registered Nurses with at least 1 year of experience seeking a travel contract in New Mexico with a 13-week commitment.
