Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Job Overview

• Position in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Resource Pool role: primarily assigned to one campus but may float to main campus or other units within the system as needed.
• Patient ratio: 1:6.
• Start Date: ASAP.
• Weekend shifts as needed.
• On-call required, including holiday coverage.
• Must work 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts every 6 weeks.
• No block scheduling accommodations.
• Local candidates outside a 75-mile radius only.
• Pending license accepted but must be obtained before starting.
• Attendance policy: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may lead to contract review or cancellation.
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication tests on the first day.
• Fit testing may require shaving; failure to pass results in contract failure.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year.
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• STABLE certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Work Environment

• May float between multiple campuses and units.
• Patient acuity consistent with MS/Tele unit.
• Ratio of 1 nurse to 6 patients.
• On-call shifts and holiday coverage required.

Notes

• Locals within 75 miles are not accepted.
• Must submit all requested time-off (RTO) upfront; no changes allowed after submission.
• Candidates must pass all required tests and certifications to continue employment.
• Orientation includes testing and may include Epic system training.
