Job Opportunity: OBGYN Sonographer

Location: Durham, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking an OBGYN Sonographer with experience in obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound, including high-risk OB cases. This is a Monday-Friday position with no weekend or on-call requirements. The role may involve floating to similar clinics within the same building.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ob/Gyn Sonographer, including experience within the last year
• Experience in obstetrics and gynecology sonography, including high-risk obstetrics
• Proficiency with Epic charting system

Certifications & Licenses

• ARDMS OB/GYN certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Orientation & Scheduling

• Targeted start dates: April 20 or May 4
• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s license or state ID)
• I9 or attestation form
• Background check within 90 days, including multi-county and nationwide searches
• Education verification from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months of start
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccination or positive antibody titers
  • Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (declinations not accepted)
• Negative 10-panel drug test (including THC) within 30 days of start
• Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months (at least one supervisor)
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)

Additional Requirements

• Must set up a guest account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
• Competency exams and pass/fail testing during orientation
• Compliance with facility-specific onboarding modules and documentation submission timelines

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates within 75 miles are considered local
• No weekend or on-call shifts required
• Floating may occur within similar clinics in the same building
