Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Buckeye, West Virginia

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse
• Location: Buckeye, West Virginia
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Weekend Schedule: Every Other Weekend
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• First Time Travelers: Accepted

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as required

Required Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for West Virginia with primary source verification
• NURSYS verification required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, SS Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification upon request (highest degree earned)
• Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination required starting September 1st (declinations/exemptions not accepted)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within a year of start; onsite drug screen on day 1

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Competency exams as applicable
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)

References & Evaluations

• Two professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Performance evaluations required if worked over 1 year with the agency
• Internal evaluations required if worked over 2 years with the agency

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Emeritus Nurse
• At least 1 year of educator experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• National Tech Cert Verification
