Job Opportunity: RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant)

Location: Allegan, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RNFA - Operating Room)
Shift: Days, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Call Requirement: None
Weekend Requirement: None
Floating: Occasionally required to float to pre/post-op and possibly to a nearby facility on Mondays for surgical cases
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
First-time travelers: Accepted
Local candidates: Not accepted; must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
Pending License: Accepted if candidate applies for license within 24 hours after offer
Scrub Color: Provided

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in Michigan (must apply within 24 hours if pending)
Minimum 1 year of RNFA (First Assist) experience within the last year
Operating Room (OR) experience
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
CHEMO certification
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing
Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)

Additional Requirements

Employment application required prior to start
Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreement and photo for badge
Completion of facility-required training modules prior to start (approx. 8-10 hours)
Fingerprint results required for Michigan

Notes

Prior travel experience is not required for this position
Floating may be required occasionally to other units or nearby facility for surgical cases
Candidates must be prepared to complete all required documentation and certifications before starting

This position is ideal for an experienced RNFA looking for a travel contract opportunity with day shifts and no call or weekend requirements.
