Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Summary
- Work on a General Medical Surgical Unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
- Patient ratio approximately 1:6
- Unit uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Weekend shifts every other weekend
- Required to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Work Environment & Expectations
- Floating within the facility as needed
- Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
- Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time; delays may result in assignment pushback
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Candidates must be able to work assigned holidays as outlined
- Candidate profiles are reviewed within 48 hours of submission to confirm fit for unit/schedule/expertise
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience seeking a travel contract in a medical-surgical setting with adult and geriatric patients.
