Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Summary

Work on a General Medical Surgical Unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
Patient ratio approximately 1:6
Unit uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
Scrub color: Navy Blue
Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
Weekend shifts every other weekend
Required to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Environment & Expectations

Floating within the facility as needed
Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time; delays may result in assignment pushback
Locals accepted at same rate
Must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is not required for this position
Candidates must be able to work assigned holidays as outlined
Candidate profiles are reviewed within 48 hours of submission to confirm fit for unit/schedule/expertise
