Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Oncology
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Summary
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Unit Type: Medical Surgical Oncology
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Average Daily Census: 15 patients
- Electronic Medical Record System: Epic
- Other Systems: Pyxis, SBAR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Floating: Yes, within facility and possibly nearby location (~3 miles)
- Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Holiday Work: Required to work major holidays depending on number of holidays during assignment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, with oncology experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Orientation hours depend on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
- Floating may include other units within the facility or nearby campus
- Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time
- No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted

- Candidates must be able to work assigned major holidays as outlined
- Facility requires adherence to dress and professional appearance policies
- Candidate must review and sign facility code of conduct prior to start
