Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Summary

  • Work on a General Medical Surgical Unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
  • Patient ratio approximately 1:6
  • Unit uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
  • Scrub color: Navy Blue
  • Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • Weekend shifts every other weekend
  • Required to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
  • Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
  • Orientation hours vary based on contract length

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • Floating within the facility as needed
  • Compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time; delays may result in assignment pushback
  • Locals accepted at same rate
  • Orientation hours are non-billable and depend on contract length
