Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Job Description

• Work in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Case load: Approximately 7 cases per day
• Patient diagnoses primarily cardiovascular diseases
• Procedures include cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker implants, and peripheral angiographies
• Equipment used: Philips X-ray, Impella, Balloon pump, Acist injector
• Charting systems: EPIC and Merge
• Call requirements: 9 shifts per month, including weekday evenings and one weekend per month

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in specialty
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
• State licensure required
• Certification: ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID and valid state license
• Background check within 30 days of start, including alias and multi-level searches
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Physical exam within the past 12 months, cleared to perform essential job functions
• Respiratory medical clearance and on-site fit testing mandatory
• Influenza vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
• Various competency exams and certifications as applicable (e.g., medication test, EKG competency)
• Annual education sign-off and facility-specific orientation requirements

Call & Scheduling

• Call shifts: 9 per month
• Call hours: Monday to Thursday 5 PM – 6 AM, plus one weekend per month (Friday 5 PM – Sunday 6 AM)
• Time off requests must be submitted and approved prior to offer

• References: Two references within the last 2 years required, including at least one managerial reference

• New Jersey candidates require verification of at least 1 year of prior work history with no gaps over 30 days
