Job Opportunity: RN Charge/Supervisor
Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Manage day-to-day operations and long-term planning of the patient care area.
- Direct and develop nursing staff, including selection, orientation, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
- Provide physical, psychological, and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Ensure compliance with nursing operational, financial, and quality standards.
- Develop and update nursing policies and procedures.
- Enforce adherence to state board of nursing regulations and nurse practice act.
- Monitor patient care documentation and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment and oversee infection control policies.
- Manage nursing supplies and equipment inventory.
- Participate in professional development and maintain current nursing knowledge.
- Foster cooperative relationships within healthcare teams.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wyoming
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a House Supervisor in a hospital setting, including experience within the last year
- Experience in supervisory roles
- Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Experience with hospital administration and nursing leadership is essential.
- Must be able to meet facility-specific submission requirements (not included here).
