Job Opportunity: RN Charge/Supervisor

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Manage day-to-day operations and long-term planning of the patient care area.
Direct and develop nursing staff, including selection, orientation, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
Provide physical, psychological, and emotional support to patients and their families.
Ensure compliance with nursing operational, financial, and quality standards.
Develop and update nursing policies and procedures.
Enforce adherence to state board of nursing regulations and nurse practice act.
Monitor patient care documentation and maintain confidentiality.
Maintain safe and clean working environment and oversee infection control policies.
Manage nursing supplies and equipment inventory.
Participate in professional development and maintain current nursing knowledge.
Foster cooperative relationships within healthcare teams.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wyoming
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of experience as a House Supervisor in a hospital setting, including experience within the last year
Experience in supervisory roles
Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
Experience with hospital administration and nursing leadership is essential.
Must be able to meet facility-specific submission requirements (not included here).

This role is ideal for experienced RNs with leadership skills looking to take on a supervisory position in a travel nursing capacity.
