Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an ARRT Licensed Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist Interventional Radiologists in minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures. The role includes scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during procedures using fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound equipment.
Work Schedule
- Day Shift: 5x8 hours (06:45 AM - 03:15 PM)
- Every other holiday required
- Call and weekend coverage: expected to take 1/4 of total call including weekends
- Return to Office (RTO) limit: no more than 5 days approved
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
- ARRT certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Vascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist
- At least 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level I or Level II trauma patients
- Knowledge of imaging equipment used for image-guided vascular procedures including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound
- Ability to operate fluoroscopy and C-arm equipment
Specialty Details
- Assist with vascular procedures such as abdominal aortograms, fistulagrams, carotid angiograms, EVARs
- Operate imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound
- Work in a department averaging 20 patients per day with 2 endovascular suites and open procedure ORs
- Use of Philips Epiq 7G, Parks Flo-Lab 2100SX, PenVasc reporting software, and Epic/CareConnect EMR
Certifications Required
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Ohio Radiologic State License
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required (check unit specifics)
Additional Requirements
- Must be located more than 100 miles from the assignment location to be eligible
- Background check: 7-year history including criminal, sex offender, sanctions screening
- Drug screening: Negative 9 or 10 panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 2 years indicating clearance to work
- Respirator fit test documentation within 1 year (if applicable)
- Immunizations and titers: TB test, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Flu vaccine or approved exemption
- Competency exams including medication test, color blindness test (if applicable), and unit-specific competency exams

- Surgical scrubs provided
- Must be able to take call and weekend shifts as scheduled
- EPIC charting system used
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
- Fingerprinting and other facility-specific onboarding requirements apply
