Description
Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in Cath Lab and Hybrid OR procedures including interventional cardiology, STEMI, peripherals, and device implants.
- Required to scrub and circulate/monitor cases.
- Typical shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week.
- Approximately 10-11 call shifts per month.
- Cover cath lab and hybrid OR procedures.
- May float to Non-Invasive Cardiovascular to start IVs.
- Cases involve adult cardiac patients (peripheral, catheterization, PCI, devices). No electrophysiology ablations.
- Average cases per day: 4-5 (range 2-9).
- Work with a 3-person team (2 RNs and 1 tech).
- Weekend and holiday coverage required (call shifts).
- Orientation includes 2 shifts with a preceptor plus a "buddy call" period.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Cardiovascular Invasive Radiologic Technology credentials.
- Must have BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
- WV state license required for Radiologic Technologists (RCIS not accepted).
- Experience with IABP and IVUS required. Familiarity with Acist injector preferred but not mandatory (training provided).
- Fully COVID vaccinated or approved exemption required.
Additional Information
- Call shifts typically Monday-Friday 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Scrubs provided (Burgundy for Rad Techs).
- Use of EMR system "Cupid" and equipment including Phillips bedside monitors.
- Cardiologists on call 24/7.
- Pharmacy support available 24/7 with some medication mixing done in lab.
- Must disclose any license issues at time of submission.

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Driver’s license address must be outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
- Previous permanent or travel candidates must meet specific time gap requirements before reapplying.
