Registered Nurse - Women's Services

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
  • Educate patients and families based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Circulate during C-sections and assist physicians during deliveries.
  • Provide post-delivery neonatal assessments in the C-section suite.
  • Maintain fetal monitoring certification and attend STABLE certification classes if offered.
  • Follow policies for recovery and care of surgical patients.
  • May be required to float to other units as needed for support or sitter duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery (L&D/LDRP).
  • Experience may include care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), antepartum care, triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
  • Certifications required (must be American Heart Association):
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • STABLE certification
    • AWHONN certification
  • Fetal monitoring certification required every two years.

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • Candidate may be required to float to other units depending on census.
  • This is an extension contract.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in specialty (RN - Women's Services).
