Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Shift: Day shift, 10-hour shifts between 6 AM - 7 PM
- Schedule: Weekends and holidays as needed (minimal call required, mostly to assist full-time staff)
- Unit: Invasive Cardiology Cath Lab
- Includes 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs and 2 Electrophysiology labs
- 23 prep/recovery bays
- Procedures include complex coronary interventions, VAD/ECMO, structural heart procedures (TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping), complex ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants and explantations, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, peripheral interventions, and pulmonary embolectomy
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab (invasive cardiology), with experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- National Tech Certification Verification
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID
- Background checks including 7-year criminal background, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
- PA FBI Fingerprinting within 1 year of start (results must be on file within 45 days of assignment start)
- Education verification (highest level)
- Professional references (2 within last 3 years)
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- TDAP (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot within 90 days)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (vaccines or positive titers)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
- Varicella (vaccines or positive titer)
- Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations NOT accepted during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (for agency use only)
- Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency (pass/fail)
- Photo for badge (passport-style, professional)
- Completion of required facility-specific documents and agreements (code of conduct, confidentiality, health & wellness, etc.)
- Completion of required online learning modules and new hire orientation

- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days

- Call and weekend requirements are minimal and as needed
