Job Description

  • Night shift position on Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry experience, with recent Telemetry experience within the last year.
  • Current ACLS certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Certification in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
  • Certification in NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must carry valid photo identification during working hours.
  • Certifications must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date.
  • Background checks and verifications must be fully completed before starting; no pending checks allowed.
  • Physical exam must be completed on facility-specific form; physician statements or general health statements are not accepted.
  • Fit testing and immunizations are mandatory for patient-facing roles.
  • Flu and COVID vaccine exemptions require proper documentation and approval.

Summary

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for night shift on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in Washington, D.C. The assignment is approximately 13 weeks long. Candidates must hold a valid D.C. RN license, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and meet comprehensive background, health, and competency requirements. Immunizations and drug screening are mandatory, with specific documentation and verifications required prior to start.
