Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Day shift Telemetry RN position.
- Must be willing to float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience, with recent Telemetry experience within the last year.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service.
- Background check: 7-year criminal history, social security trace, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, education verification, and international searches as applicable.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months (instant acceptable).
- Physical exam: Initial and updated annually, must meet physical demands of the position.
- Fit mask testing: Required within one year of start and updated annually.
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination form.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations allowed.
- Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, titer, or declination form.
- Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; declinations accepted only for medical/religious reasons.
- Flu vaccine required annually; medical and religious exemptions accepted with approval.
- COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start; booster preferred but not required; exemptions subject to approval.
- References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- Employment application/resume including licensure, certifications, education, and employment history.
- Competency exams as applicable (medication/pharmacology).
- Facility-specific forms and acknowledgments must be completed prior to start.
Additional Information
- Candidates must be prepared to comply with all facility-specific compliance and health documentation requirements.
- Floating to other Med/Surg units may be required.
- This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week assignment length.
