Job Description

• Day shift Telemetry RN position.
• Must be willing to float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
• Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience, with recent Telemetry experience within the last year.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation.
• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service.
• Background check: 7-year criminal history, social security trace, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, education verification, and international searches as applicable.
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months (instant acceptable).
• Physical exam: Initial and updated annually, must meet physical demands of the position.
• Fit mask testing: Required within one year of start and updated annually.
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination form.
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations allowed.
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, titer, or declination form.
  • Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; declinations accepted only for medical/religious reasons.
  • Flu vaccine required annually; medical and religious exemptions accepted with approval.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start; booster preferred but not required; exemptions subject to approval.
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Employment application/resume including licensure, certifications, education, and employment history.
• Competency exams as applicable (medication/pharmacology).
• Facility-specific forms and acknowledgments must be completed prior to start.

Additional Information

• Candidates must be prepared to comply with all facility-specific compliance and health documentation requirements.
• Floating to other Med/Surg units may be required.
• This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week assignment length.
