Registered Nurse - MS/Tele
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Targeted patient ratios: 1:5-6
- Overtime paid after 48 hours on 48-hour contracts
- Experience with titratable insulin drips and cardiac drips (amiodarone, cardizem, cardene) required
- Nurses will be fitted for N95 masks prior to working on the high-risk respiratory unit unless PAPR is offered/needed
- 1.5 years of nursing experience required; experience in a level 1 or 2 trauma center preferred
- Prior travel experience preferred (not required)
- EPIC experience required
- Unit may use a team nursing model partnering RNs, LPNs, and PCTs to care for groups of patients
- Floating assignments possible, including to high-risk respiratory/COVID units and nearby campuses (within 15 miles)
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays
- Employer reserves the right to cancel shifts or contracts with notice
- Nurses are not eligible for employer employee incentives
- Unit details: 43-bed mixed acuity unit focusing on post-general surgery and stable cardiac telemetry patients
- Navy blue scrubs required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1.5 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- Experience with titratable insulin drips
- Experience with titratable cardiac drips including amiodarone, cardizem (diltiazem), and cardene (nicardipine)
- EPIC electronic health record experience
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
