Registered Nurse - MS/Tele
Location: Titusville, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Unit Type: Mixed Unit, High Acuity
- Patient Ratio Experience Required: 1:6
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Required: Yes (within scope)
- Block Scheduling: Not allowed
- Orientation: Mandatory 5 shifts (36-40 hours) during clinical orientation week
- Rapid Response Team experience required
- Experience with total joint patients required
- No local candidates (must live more than 30 miles from facility)
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: No RTO during first or last week of assignment
- Call-out policy: 3 call outs result in termination
- Shift change notice:
- Less than 48 hours notice refusal may forfeit guaranteed hours
- 1 week or more notice refusal may result in termination
- Holiday work requirement:
- If 1-2 holidays fall within assignment, must work 1 evening and 1 holiday shift
- If 3 holidays fall within assignment, must work 1 evening and 2 holiday shifts
- Must complete approximately 4 hours of modules prior to start date
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse (highest required)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification (required except for PACU, OR, Women’s Center, or Case Management)
- Licensure: Valid RN license for Florida
- Additional Requirements:
- Rapid Response team experience
- Total joint patient care experience
- Floating within scope of practice
- Must be able to work mandatory orientation shifts
- Patient Care: Experience with high acuity patients and 1:6 patient ratio
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background check within 6 months including:
- Social Security Trace
- County, Nationwide, National Sex Offender checks
- Education verification (ASN, BSN, or MSN transcript/diploma acceptable as placeholder)
- Fingerprinting: Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start
- Education verification of nursing degree required
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Physical exam within 6 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (with additional requirements if history positive)
- Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (titer or series)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- COVID-19 vaccination documentation required or facility-specific exemption forms for medical/religious reasons
- Flu vaccine or declination documentation recommended but not required for contract workers
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and quizzes prior to start
- Two professional references within 2 years of start
- Performance evaluation within last year if previously assigned through any agency
- Skills checklist required

- Total staffed beds: 210
- Charting system: Meditech
- Parking: Free in unrestricted spaces
- Scrub color: Any
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be prepared for floating assignments within the unit scope
- Strict adherence to attendance and shift change policies
- Must complete all required documentation and compliance items prior to start
- Fit testing for masks will be completed onsite during first week
- Orientation week is mandatory and requires full availability for 5 shifts
This position is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with high acuity patients, floating, and working in a fast-paced acute care environment with a focus on MS/Tele specialty care.
