Job Summary

Seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Operating Room procedures. The role involves providing C-arm and O-arm coverage during surgical interventions, performing X-ray procedures in surgical settings, and collaborating with surgical and medical teams to ensure optimal patient care. Work settings include outpatient, inpatient, and Level I Trauma centers.


Work Schedule

  • 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (4x10 schedule)
  • Call responsibilities required

Responsibilities

  • Provide C-arm and O-arm coverage in the Operating Room
  • Perform X-ray procedures for surgical interventions
  • Collaborate with surgical and medical teams
  • Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to safety protocols
  • Participate in ongoing education and training

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technician license in Ohio
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT registration
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) in a similar role
  • Experience within the last year as a Radiology Technician
  • Experience in Level I Trauma settings
  • Experience in teaching hospital environments
  • Operating Room (OR) experience
  • Outpatient and inpatient experience
  • Proficiency in providing C-arm and O-arm coverage
  • Experience performing X-ray procedures in surgical settings
  • X-Ray Technician experience

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and state fingerprinting
  • Monthly monitoring through federal exclusion lists (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
  • Education accreditation verification required
  • Fingerprinting (BCI & FBI) must be completed within 1 year of start and comply with state-specific codes
  • Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
  • Annual review and acknowledgment of dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies
  • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually

Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA approved
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on unit
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification)
  • State license verification within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination (adult dose after age 11/12)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
  • COVID vaccination not required but recommended

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leader
  • Employment application and skills checklist required prior to start
  • Unit-specific competency exams may be required
