Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech

Location: South Bend, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (4x10 days)
• Call Requirements: 1 day per week, with weekend call every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Weekend Requirement: On-call weekends only
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• Floating Requirement: None
• Daily Caseload: 10-15 cases per tech

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience with Neurovascular IR experience
• Familiarity with wires (for IR procedures)
• Familiarity with GE and Siemens Fluoro rooms
• Experience with Vascular IR, including endografts, neurovascular, and trauma

Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (refer to unit-specific job descriptions)

Background & Health Requirements

• Background check covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in, required within 90 days of start
• Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
• Physical exam required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (T-Spots not accepted)
• Drug screening: Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (titers or vaccines with boosters if needed)
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start and annually during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Information

• Must be able to complete required facility-specific modules prior to start (approx. 8-10 hours)
• Photo for badge required (passport-style with solid background)
• Employment application required prior to start
• Facility uses Cerner for charting
• Scrub color provided

This position is ideal for an experienced Interventional Radiology Tech with strong vascular and neurovascular IR skills, comfortable with a fast-paced acute care environment and flexible call schedule.
