Job Description
- Schedule Requirements:
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Weekend and Call requirements: Not specified
- Holidays: If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall, work both. If three, work two of them.
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day.
- Floating: Not applicable
- Unit Systems: EPIC
- Patient Population: Infant to Geriatrics
- Orientation: Bi-weekly orientation schedule; full compliance required to start on time, otherwise start date may be delayed by 2 weeks.
- Locals: Accepted at the same rate
Required Qualifications
- Valid RDN (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist) license in Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with enteral nutrition, food-drug interactions, and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start; includes education verification and various national and county-level checks. Cannot start with background pending.
- Education Verification: Verification of related degree required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start).
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA or ARC accepted; RQI certs acceptable).
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 12 months of start (required by agency, not client).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start. If past positive TB, additional documentation required.
- Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer or signed declination), and seasonal flu vaccination or declination.
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start; instant drug screen acceptable; cannot start with results pending.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination highly recommended but not required.
- Competency Exams:
- Color Blind Testing required for all candidates.
- References: Two clinical references required by agency (not client).
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated within 12 months.
- Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start).
Additional Notes
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment).
- Candidate will be reviewed by clinical team for clinical fit before final decision.
- Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time.
This position is ideal for a Dietitian with at least 1 year of experience, comfortable working with a wide patient age range, and skilled in clinical nutrition practices including enteral and parenteral nutrition.
