Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Ardmore, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, assessing emergency patients and planning, organizing, and implementing their care in a personalized and professional environment. Supervise ER Techs, Orderlies, and Ancillary personnel as needed.
Shift Details
- Shift: Days, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Not required
- Call Requirements: None
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the Emergency Department
- Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Additional Information
- Flu vaccination is required for all travelers (exemptions require approval)
- Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC
- Dress code: Black scrubs
Work Environment
- Emergency Department setting
- Supervision of support staff including ER Techs and Orderlies
Note: This position is for a travel nurse assignment in a full-service hospital setting.
