Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Ardmore, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, assessing emergency patients and planning, organizing, and implementing their care in a personalized and professional environment. Supervise ER Techs, Orderlies, and Ancillary personnel as needed.

Shift Details

Shift: Days, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Not required
Call Requirements: None

Required Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oklahoma
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the Emergency Department
Emergency Department experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Additional Information

Flu vaccination is required for all travelers (exemptions require approval)
Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC
Dress code: Black scrubs

Work Environment

Emergency Department setting
Supervision of support staff including ER Techs and Orderlies

Note: This position is for a travel nurse assignment in a full-service hospital setting.
