Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technician plays a critical role in supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms and ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment, directly impacting patient outcomes and surgical success. The technician collaborates closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to anticipate procedural needs and respond promptly to intraoperative requirements. Attention to detail and strict adherence to aseptic techniques are paramount to prevent infections and complications. This role contributes to the seamless execution of surgical procedures and enhances overall patient care quality within the surgery department.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Certified Surgical Tech (CST) experience
• Proficient with Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, Gynecology, and General surgery procedures
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Work history and skills checklist pertinent to Operating Room specialty, current within 1 year
• Two supervisory reference forms from within the last two years
• Must comply with hospital dress code (hospital-provided scrubs)

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside outside a 90-mile radius of the job location (applicants between 90-150 miles may be reviewed but are less likely to be selected)
