Description

Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday with one day off
Call Requirements: None
Weekend Requirement: None
Request Time Off (RTO): Maximum 5 days, no more than 2 consecutive; no RTO on holidays, weekends, or the day before/after a holiday
Floating: Mandatory float within scope to meet facility needs
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Minimum 3 years of endoscopy nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience administering and recovering patients from moderate sedation
Experience in both Recovery and Pre-Op admission areas
Perioperative nursing experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Requirements

Locals accepted; preference given to candidates within 75 miles of the facility
Must have a government-issued photo ID
Background check within 12 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
Drug screening (9 panel) within 90 days of start
Physical exam within 12 months of start, signed by PA, NP, DO, or MD
Fit mask test within 1 year of start (N95 or equivalent)
Immunizations/vaccinations required: Tdap, MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination), Flu seasonal vaccination or approved exemption
Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT) within 12 months, updated annually
Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months of start
Color blind testing required for starts on/after 1/16/24
Competency exams required for starts on/after 4/14/24
