Job Opportunity: OR Nurse

Location: Mesquite, Texas
Shift: Days/Mid (06:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Prefer Registered Nurse with circulating experience in the Operating Room.
• Scrub experience is a bonus.
• Surgical specialties involved include Orthopedics (total knees, hips, shoulders, ankles), Podiatry, Gynecology, and General/Laparoscopic procedures.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in these areas.
• On-call requirement: Yes, rotating call 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend per month.
• Exposure to COVID-19 patients expected.
• Charting system used: EPIC.
• Scrubs: Any color allowed; hospital also provides scrubs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including recent OR experience within the last year.
• At least 3 years of RN surgery experience specifically in the Operating Room.
• Experience in Orthopedics and OB/GYN surgical specialties.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Must be able to take rotating on-call shifts as specified.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
