Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
- Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment type and frequency.
- Develop, implement, and monitor patient care plans and respiratory equipment.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Evaluate respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and community support resources.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Oklahoma.
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent respiratory therapist experience within the last year.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Submission of current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
- Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references.
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with a minimum passing score.
- Health and immunization documentation including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Influenza vaccine (optional, with mask requirement if declined during flu season)
- Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest X-ray if positive, annual questionnaire)
- Fit testing for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be completed onsite).
- Drug screening (12-panel) within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Criminal background check including Social Security trace, OIG search, and National Sex Offender registry.
- Employment and education verifications within 90 days of start, updated annually or after breaks in service.
- Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually.
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Driver’s license or state ID (valid, matching address requirements).
Additional Notes
- Some onboarding forms and attestations must be completed and uploaded by the agency or traveler prior to or at the start of the assignment.
- Badge photo required (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations).
- Responding to emergency codes is part of the role.
