Job Opportunity: House Supervisor - Registered Nurse

Location: Hood River, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Position requires Registered Nurse with Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
  • Role involves floating between units based on needs.
  • Weekend shifts required; days and/or nights with variable weekdays.
  • No on-call required.
  • No block schedules.
  • No specific patient ratios.
  • Must have a vehicle for assignment.
  • Facility is a Critical Access/Level III Trauma Center with 25 staffed beds.
  • Charting system: Epic.
  • Scrubs provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child units.
  • Free parking available.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oregon.
  • House Supervisor experience (minimum 1 year within the last year).
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Experience in Acute Care settings.
  • Experience in Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings.
  • Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete required background checks including state-specific searches.
  • Must complete required education verifications.
  • Must complete facility and specialty-specific training modules annually via the assigned LMS platform.
  • Must acknowledge and comply with float policy; may be required to float to other nearby facilities.
  • Must have valid government-issued photo ID and social security card.
  • Must complete all required health and safety documentation prior to start.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Floating between units and possibly other nearby facilities is expected.
  • Variable shifts including weekends.
  • No on-call duties.
  • Scrubs provided for specific units.
  • Use of Epic electronic health record system.
  • Critical Access hospital with trauma designation.

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • Candidates without PALS certification may be considered but are less preferred.
  • Floating to certain locations may include additional incentives and accommodations.
