Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Spokane, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with neurosurgical experience or a new graduate RN for a travel contract in the Operating Room. The position requires floating between units as needed, primarily within the main OR, with occasional float to other services.
Key Details
- Float: Yes, per unit needs
- On-call: Yes, once per week (1 weekend every 6 weeks)
- Weekend Requirement: On-call only
- Block Schedules: No
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Specialty Focus: Must be fully competent in all neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies and complex spine surgeries.
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Total Staffed Beds: 629
- Charting System: Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
- Competency in neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies and complex spine surgeries
- Neurosurgery experience
- Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation as applicable:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certification
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
- NURSYS verification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
