Job Details

• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Start Date: April 20
• Work Setting: General Emergency Department (combined adult and pediatric)
• On Call Required: No
• Float Required: No
• Local candidates accepted
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Return to Office Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid US Driver’s License or State ID
• Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including:

  • SSN Trace
  • National Criminal and Sex Offender checks
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification (degree or transcript)
• Fingerprinting completed in Illinois (for clinical candidates without IL license)
• Competency exam (clinical candidates)
• Photo for badge (color, mid-shoulders up, plain background)
• Signed Code of Conduct
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs within 7 days of contract signing
• Fit mask test (specific mask types required)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• References: 2 professional references required
• Skills checklist (clinical candidates)

Additional Notes

• Guaranteed hours may be adjusted with some call-offs allowed without pay.
• Candidates must be able to perform core job functions without restrictions.

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Department RNs who have prior travel contract experience and hold an active Illinois nursing license. The role offers weekend night shifts in a combined adult/pediatric ED setting.
