Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location: Edmonds, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Orthopedics and Spine for an Operating Room position. This role involves circulating and scrubbing in various surgical specialties including ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Neuro/Spine, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Plastics, and perioperative care.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Call required: approximately 48-56 hours per 6-week schedule (about 6-7 eight-hour shifts every 6 weeks)
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- At least 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- Experience in Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, ENT Surgery, and OB/GYN
Certifications Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
Additional Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
References and Employment History
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years
Important Notes
- Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible to work as travelers in this role
- First-time travelers are allowed
- Float policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to other nearby facilities
- Completion of required regulatory and specialty-specific training modules prior to start and annually thereafter
- Epic training modules may be required depending on assignment location
This position is ideal for experienced OR RNs with orthopedic and spine surgical experience seeking a travel contract in Washington state.
