Job Opportunity: X-Ray Technologist

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Description

• Primarily 2nd shift with some 3rd shift coverage needed (2300-0600/0700)
• Call schedule: 2 days per pay period (1 per week), currently on 3rd shift call
• Weekend rotation: work 2 weekends in a row, then off 1 weekend
• Holiday schedule rotates with staff
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles if needed
• Requires at least 1 year of hospital-based diagnostic X-ray experience and surgery training
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred
• Prior travel experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based diagnostic X-ray experience within the last year
• Surgery training
• Prior travel experience
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• X-Ray Technician experience

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Current professional license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics
• Health requirements including:

  • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (mask required if declined)
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA with annual questionnaire; chest x-ray if positive
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (3M 1860/1870 masks)
  • Health statement or physical exam prior to assignment and annually thereafter
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Background checks including criminal, employment, and professional verifications
• Skills checklist and specialty exam demonstrating competency in X-Ray technology
• Color vision test prior to start and every 3 years
• Professional references (minimum two) and resume/profile submission
• Driver’s license or state ID matching address on file

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and call
• May be required to float to other nearby sites within 40 miles
• Travel experience is a requirement for this position
