Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Call, weekends, and holidays required as needed.
  • Local travel radius within 90 miles.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience.

Required Licenses & Certifications

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Texas state license must be current and in hand at start.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Texas.
  • Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
  • Experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.

Required Qualifications & Compliance

  • Must complete I9 or attestation.
  • Valid government-issued photo ID required (passport acceptable in lieu of driver’s license or state ID).
  • Background checks required within 30 days of start, including 7-year criminal background and other federal/state checks.
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start.
  • Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; annual updates required.
  • Drug screening (10-panel) within 30 days of start.
  • Required immunizations and/or proof of immunity including:
    • Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) titers or vaccination documentation
    • Varicella titers or vaccination documentation
    • Hepatitis B vaccine series and/or positive titer or signed declination form
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation; can be done prior to start.
  • Photo for badge required (passport style, clear background).

Competency & Testing Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: must pass with 80% or higher; two attempts allowed.
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for IR specialty; two attempts allowed.
  • Pass/fail testing required for medication and EKG competency.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification recommended/required for IR and related units.
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment.

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references within the last 3 years.
  • Must sign job description and facility-specific forms prior to start.
  • Compliance with facility-specific documentation and credentialing processes.

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • Tele refers to Telemetry units only; no telehealth duties implied.

This position is ideal for a licensed Interventional Radiology professional with at least one year of IR experience, current Texas licensure, and required certifications ready to work a travel contract in Dallas, TX.
