Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Prior travel experience is required.
• Chemotherapy certification is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
• Minimum of one year of oncology nursing experience, with oncology experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Copy of valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Criminal background check (updated if no assignment within last 90 days).
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Annual respirator fit testing (Fit Mask).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, with annual renewal.
• TB questionnaire required annually.
• 12-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start.
• Influenza vaccination exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons with proper documentation.
• COVID-19 vaccination exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons with facility-specific forms.
• Immunization documentation (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella) may be required per standard protocols.

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references required.
• System access and confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start.
• Completion of assigned Healthstream courses during orientation, including glucose testing demonstration if applicable.
