Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech
Location: Odessa, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule:
- Tuesday - Thursday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Friday and Saturday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Call: Optional
Start Date: Urgent need for 4/28 or 5/5 start
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard experience for X-Ray Tech in Radiology/Cardiology
- License: Must hold a valid license appropriate for X-Ray Tech in Texas
- Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA only; Instructor, Provider, and RQI acceptable)
- BLS (AHA only; Instructor, Provider, and RQI acceptable)
- PALS (AHA only; Instructor, Provider, and RQI acceptable)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) as applicable
- Chemotherapy certification as applicable
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) as applicable
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) as applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs; may be applicable
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update required)
- Tech Certification Verification (national) within 30 days of start
- State License Verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification (if applicable) within 30 days of start
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 30 days of start; must be updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Facility-specific documents including Standards of Conduct, Dress Code Policy, Standards of Behavior, COVID Declination (if applicable), HIPAA and Fair Warning Quiz Modules, Orientation and Safety Training Modules, Annual TB Questionnaire
- Employment application and skills checklist required; skills checklist updated annually
- Two professional references within 3 years of start
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
- Fit mask test within 1 year; updated annually (specific mask types required)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (chest X-ray within 2 years if positive TB test)
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
- Varicella
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; must meet facility requirements and be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (October-April)
- COVID initial series or facility-specific declination required; annual boosters not required

- Candidate must complete various facility-specific forms and orientation modules prior to start
