Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Midland, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Echo tech experience required; vascular experience preferred
• Call required
• Facility may consider 5x8 or 4x10 shift schedules
• 3 years of experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel experience preferred (not explicitly required)

Required Qualifications

• Echo Technician with at least 1 year of experience
• Echo Technician experience within the last year
• Valid license/certification as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer in Texas
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
• National certification relevant to Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer (e.g., ARDMS) with certificate number available
• Background check including 10-year criminal history and state-specific checks (Texas DPS Criminal History, Employee Misconduct Registry, Employability Status Check)
• Negative drug screen (10-panel) within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen upon arrival
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• N95 Fit Test within 1 year of start (PAPR not accepted)
• Required immunizations and/or proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Tuberculosis (Negative PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 12 months)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or agency declination (required October 1 - March 31)
• Completion of facility-specific confidentiality, security, and compliance agreements prior to start
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start date
• Resume or employment application copy required
• Annual renewal of background check and competency exams as applicable
• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required annually

Notes

• Prior travel experience is preferred but not explicitly required
• Shift flexibility may be available (5x8 or 4x10)
• Call responsibilities are part of the role
