Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Overview

Seeking a skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The position involves normal business hours with a rotating day off and call requirements.

Schedule

• Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a rotating day off
• Call Requirement:

  • One primary weekday and one backup weekday per month
  • One weekend every 6 weeks (alternating primary or backup)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification

Key Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures
• Operate Siemens imaging equipment effectively
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records (EPIC preferred)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and state fingerprinting (Ohio BCI & FBI)
• Monthly monitoring through workforce screening systems
• Education accreditation verification required
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tdap vaccine (adult dose)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
• Annual acknowledgment of dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies
• Required competency exams and safety manual acknowledgments

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership)
• Employment application and skills checklist required prior to start
• Fingerprinting must be completed using specific Ohio codes and within one year of start date
• Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start
