Job Opportunity: Utilization Review Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: ASAP (working out of a facility starting May 1, 2026)
Travel Radius: Prefer local candidates within 60 miles of Washington, DC

Job Description

Must have current utilization review experience within the last year.
Position involves utilization review nursing duties.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of District of Columbia
Minimum 1 year of case management experience, including experience within the last year
Utilization review experience, including familiarity with InterQual criteria
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Additional Requirements

Complete employment application with 7 years of work history (no gaps), education, license, and contact information.
Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years.
Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start.
Valid driver's license required if driving is an essential job function.
I9 and E-Verify documentation required upon hire.

Notes

Prior travel experience is required: must have completed at least one prior travel contract or equivalent per diem experience.
Preference given to candidates local to the DC area within a 60-mile radius.
This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week assignment length.
