Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - IMC
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Night shifts: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 7:15)
- Weekend schedule: Every other weekend (EOW) and holidays as needed (work 1 of 2 upcoming holidays such as Memorial Day or July 4th)
- Floating: May be asked to float to rehab as needed
- Patient population may include COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Certification including NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing
- State License 1 Verification
- NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Certification (as applicable)
Schedule & Time Off
- Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days
- Weekend shifts every other weekend
- Holiday shifts as needed
Additional Requirements & Information
- Clinical screening required to determine fit before final manager interview
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, fingerprinting, and child abuse clearance required
- Health documents required within 90 days of start, including:
- Physical exam signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Immunizations and titers (Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, TDAP, Flu, COVID-19)
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel required within 1 year (for agency use only)
- Professional references: 2 required within 3 years
- Skills checklist and competency exams required annually or as applicable
- Pass/fail Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required (except OR and Home Health)
- Photo for badge required (passport-style, professional appearance)
- Completion of facility-specific documents including code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, and health & wellness commitment
- Learning Management System (LMS) modules and new hire orientation required
Notes
- Candidate may be required to work in a tobacco and fragrance-free environment
- Floating to rehab unit may be required
- Candidate must be prepared to work night shifts and holiday coverage as scheduled
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience, comfortable with night shifts, EPIC system, and working in a telemetry/IMC setting. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
