Registered Nurse - Home Health (South Carolina)

Job Details

  • Location: Aiken, South Carolina
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Patient Visits: 5-8 patients per day (in-home and facilities)
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from home clinic; approximately 50-60 miles traveled daily
  • EMR Systems: HomeCare HomeBase, Oasis, Outlook
  • On-Call: Approximately 1 weekend per month (varies by location)
  • Dress Code: Scrubs

Job Description

  • Provide and coordinate home nursing care according to physician orders and agency policies.
  • Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses.
  • Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, Follow-up Visits, etc.
  • Must have reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and agency-required liability insurance.
  • Charting proficiency required in HomeCare HomeBase (used within last 6 months) and Oasis.
  • Contract is strictly travel/contract; no direct hire option at end of assignment.
  • Productivity expectation: 30 points per week (points assigned based on visits and activities).

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Home Health nursing experience, including experience with adult patients.
  • Hospice nursing experience.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Experience working in a Home Health setting within the last year.
