Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania

Job Description

• ICU Night Shift
• Must have active nursing license in hand
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or competency
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background checks within 30 days of start, including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender registry, and state-specific checks
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search required
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint results required
• Emergency contact form required prior to start
• Various facility-specific documents and orientation checklists must be completed before start date
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency tests required as applicable

Additional Information

• Two professional references required (travel, allied, or per diem acute care) within 3 years of start
• Multiple mandatory trainings and quizzes must be completed with 100% passing score prior to start, including:

  • Patient policy assessments
  • Skin integrity training
  • Mobility training
  • Catheter training
  • Cardiac procedure education (for telemetry units)
• Competency assessment form must be brought to orientation and submitted to unit leader
