Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy services primarily in adult critical care and emergency room settings.
• Preferred experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Work in a Level II Trauma Center environment including outpatient, interventional radiology, emergency room, and inpatient units.
• Charting system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, with adult critical care and ER experience preferred. NICU experience is a plus.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred but not required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted).

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Flu vaccine or declination (seasonal)
  • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
• Respirator clearance required annually for respirator use.
• Fit mask testing required (annual), with specific acceptable mask types.
• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
• Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and facility-specific) prior to start and annually.
• Photo for badge required.

• Floating policy acknowledgment required; may float to other nearby facilities.
• Candidate must complete all required training modules and certifications prior to start.
• Candidate must comply with state-specific background and registry checks as applicable.
• This is a night shift position with weekend requirements but no on-call duties.
