Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU
Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit Details
- Weekend Schedule: Every Other Weekend
- Call: None
- Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Minimum Experience: 1 year (First-time travelers accepted)
- Holiday Work: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it; if 2 holidays, expected to work both; if 3 holidays, expected to work two.
- Major Holidays Include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day
- Orientation Hours: Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)
- Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Locals accepted at same rate
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
- Floating assignments may be required within the facility and scope of practice.
- Candidates must comply with all orientation and credentialing requirements to start on time.
- Candidates should be prepared to work assigned major holidays as outlined.
