Location: Biddeford, Maine

Job Description
Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with experience in:
- Adult ICU
- Emergency Room (including pediatric intubation and mechanical ventilation)
- Nursery (Level 1), including attending high-risk C-sections and participation in resuscitation teams
- Medical-Surgical floors
The therapist will float to all areas of the hospital, caring for patients ranging from newborns to adults.
Required Experience & Skills
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maine
- More than 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Experience working in ICU, Emergency Room, Nursery (Level 1), and Medical-Surgical floors
- Experience working with pediatric patients, including those needing intubation and mechanical ventilation in the ER
- Experience working with high-risk patients and maternal-fetal patients
- Experience attending high-risk C-sections
- Experience being part of a resuscitation team
- Certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Certifications Required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Work Details
- Shift: Nights
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: 36
- Call: None required
- Unit has approximately 159 beds
- Dress Code: Scrubs of any color
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) preferred to ensure comfort and competence with critically ill pediatric patients
Additional Notes
- The RRT will be part of a resuscitation team and expected to float across various hospital departments.
- Must be a team player with strong communication skills and a positive, respectful attitude.
