Description

Job Opportunity: MRI Tech

Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Thursday - Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Weekend Requirement: Yes, Saturday only
On-call: No
Floating: No floating between service lines or other facilities

Required Qualifications

MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year
ARRT (MR) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Certifications & Compliance

ARRT (MR) certification
BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
Background check including 7 years of history and various federal/state registries
Physical exam within 90 days of start, updated annually
Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
Immunizations and titers as required (e.g., Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B)
Respirator medical clearance annually
COVID-19 vaccination preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
Facility-specific orientation modules and documentation must be completed prior to start
Photo for badge (passport-style, solid light background) required

Additional Requirements

Proof of 2 clinical references, including at least one from the unit of assignment
Employment history verification for last 3 clinical employers
Completion of facility-specific forms and agreements prior to start
Compliance with facility policies during hurricane season (June-November) including possible emergency response assignments

Approximately 200 staffed beds
Charting system: Epic
Parking: Free
Scrub colors: Black, Teal, or Grey

Notes

Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius
Travelers must be prepared to complete all required documentation and certifications before starting
Orientation modules take approximately 2 hours and must be completed on a computer (not a phone)
