Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR

Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Call: 1 night per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 14 hours)
• Every 4th or 5th weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 48 hours total)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) settings.
• Must have broad knowledge and competency in surgical cases and procedures including but not limited to:

  • CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
  • MVR, AVR, TVR (Mitral, Aortic, Tricuspid Valve Replacement)
  • ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
  • TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
  • TCAR (TransCarotid Artery Revascularization)
  • Impella insertion/removal
  • Thoracic/Lung procedures
• Epic experience within the last 12 months is required and must be documented in profile.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Current certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Locals and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Candidates must pass an Epic test-out or complete Epic training onsite.
• Drug screening (10-panel) required within 30 days of start.
• Strict adherence to appearance standards and facility policies is required.
