Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Therapist - Acute / Inpatient

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy services primarily in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting, with secondary coverage in ICF/SNF rehab.
• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned residents/patients.
• Plan and implement ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by attending physicians or consulting specialists.
• Provide consulting physical therapy services as needed.
• Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays based on hospital operations.
• Use of EMR system (Meditech) is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Hawaii.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Experience working with adult patients.
• Experience in Acute Care, Post Acute, and Rehabilitation settings.

Schedule

• Variable shifts including:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Additional Information

• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
• Do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time.
