Job Opportunity: Certified Wound Care Nurse

Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive care to patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, and acute and/or chronic wounds.
• Assess, plan, and implement wound and ostomy care.
• Educate patients and their families/significant others on evaluation, selection, and recommendation of supplies and equipment for optimal wound and ostomy care.
• Occasional floating to other qualified departments may be required, including patient care or task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No holidays or weekends)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Wound Care experience with a minimum of 3 years, including experience within the last year
• Wound Care Certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on Mondays only. Missing compliance deadlines will delay orientation to the following Monday.
• Travelers may be expected to float to other departments where qualified.

This position is ideal for experienced wound care nurses seeking a weekday schedule without weekend or holiday shifts.
