Job Description

• Must have prior travel experience.
• Required NICU experience: Must be able to work in a Level 3 NICU.
• Must be proficient with neonatal oscillating ventilators.
• Shift: Four 12-hour night shifts every other week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, including Level 1 Trauma experience.
• Experience with Draeger ventilators is required.
• Floating between NICU and Pediatric units, as well as between two campuses, may be required based on census and staffing needs.
• Will work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
• May be asked to orient students or new hires.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Connecticut
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients, including 2 years of Level 1 Trauma experience
• Prior travel experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Level 3 NICU experience
• Proficiency with neonatal oscillating ventilators
• Experience with high frequency jet ventilators
• Experience with Draeger ventilators
• BLS certification

• Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds and a Level II Trauma Center.
