Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must have prior travel experience.
- Required NICU experience: Must be able to work in a Level 3 NICU.
- Must be proficient with neonatal oscillating ventilators.
- Shift: Four 12-hour night shifts every other week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, including Level 1 Trauma experience.
- Experience with Draeger ventilators is required.
- Floating between NICU and Pediatric units, as well as between two campuses, may be required based on census and staffing needs.
- Will work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
- May be asked to orient students or new hires.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Connecticut
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients, including 2 years of Level 1 Trauma experience
- Prior travel experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Level 3 NICU experience
- Proficiency with neonatal oscillating ventilators
- Experience with high frequency jet ventilators
- Experience with Draeger ventilators
- BLS certification
Additional Information
- Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds and a Level II Trauma Center.
- Charting system used: EPIC.
- Free parking available.
- Floating expectations include support across NICU and Pediatric units.
- Candidates must confirm all requested time off (RTO) is final before offer acceptance.
